Cryptid Hunters by Roland Smith

Okay, so I’m really nervous about writing this post, but I have been putting it off for too long. This review is about the book/series Cryptid Hunters by Roland Smith. The reason I’m so nervous about writing this review is because this series is like top three in my favorites and I can’t truly put into words how awesome this series is. So bare with me.

Cryptid Hunters is about Grace and Marty, (whom are twins,) who find out that their parents went missing while in the Amazon. Their parents are famous photojournalists, and went missing after their plane crashed. The twins uncle, (that they didn’t know they had,) comes forward and decided to take the twins under his wing. They find out that their uncle lives on his own island, he owns a company called ewolfe, and most surprising about their new found relative, is that he searches the world for cryptids. A cryptid is an animal that is thought to be real, but can’t be scientifically proven. Bigfoot, Loch Ness Monster, and the Yeti, are all cryptids. Anyways, Travis Wolfe, (the twins uncle,) finds out that a man named Dr. Blackwood is going to the Congo to hunt down the Mokele-mbembe, which is a cryptid dinosaur. Travis decides that he must go and stop Dr. Blackwood before he finds the dinosaur. Can he get there in time?

I fell in love with this series the moment I opened the first book. This series is actually what led me to realize that I wanted to be a photojournalist, so it holds a special place in my heart.

There are two books in the series and the third will be coming out September 24th!!!!!  I am so excited!!!!
1st book: Cryptid Hunters  348 pages (paperback)  33 chapters
2nd book: Tentacles  319 pages (paperback)  48 chapters
I will be sure to review the third book, which is called Chupacabra, as soon as I get it. Roland Smith is an amazing author, so be sure to check out his other books!

Happy Reading!!!!!
